Brilliant Open Gardens – Oct 25 & 26

Two of the region’s finest gardens will be open this weekend as part of Australia’s Open Garden Scheme. The stunning Broughton Hall at Jindivick and Frog Crossing in Bunyip, it is an easy 15 minute drive between the gardens – so a great day out!

The Gardivalia Festival of Gardens continues this weekend with its final weekend of open gardens.

Broughton Hall Jindivick

A magnificent formal garden beautifully sited to enjoy spectacular views. Broad terraces feature architectural focal points and manicured hedges enclosing massed roses and perennials. A central path ends in a place for quiet reflection and enjoyment of the view. Rare plants, dramatic foliage contrasts, deciduous trees, and birch grove. A garden not to be missed. While you are in Jindivick enjoy the wonderful Jindivick Country Gardener Nursery and lunch at the Jindivick Harvest Kitchen, both located at 1070 Jacksons Track Jindivick.

Head to Jindivick and follow the open garden signs.

Frog Crossing

An elegant and serene woodland garden complementing a New England Saltbox country-style house draped in rambling roses, Boston ivy and ornamental grape. A rill leads to a hedged pond backed by mixed borders of ornamental shrubs and perennials. Metal Sculptures adorn lawns punctuated by ornamental and native trees.
