Gumboots – Yarragon
One of the newest cafes in the region is Gumboots in Yarragon, a café and food store. The food store section is reminiscent of a farm gate where you can gather baskets full of local produce and goodies. Light lunches served using local produce including homemade pie of the day, a Gippsland tasting plate, soups and home made sweet treats. Some local suppliers include Watergrasshill Angus, The Gypsy Pig, Bullant Brewery, wines from Lightfoot and Sons and Prom Coast Ice Cream.

Coffee Collective – Wonthaggi
Modern flavours are served in a contemporary, industrial style space in the heart of Wonthaggi. Well known for their homemade donuts and top notch coffee.

Lucy May’s – Korumburra
Lucy May’s café is a definite favourite of the locals and those visiting or passing through Korumburra. An all day breakfast is always a winner and at Lucy May’s you can tuck in to a Ciabatta Breakfast burger or focaccia. Lunch is a range of light meals with a great BLT and falafel wrap. Enjoy lunch in the lovely garden adjoining the café.

Nine Acres – Fish Creek
This coffee shop, bookshop and foodstore all rolled in to one is a gem in South Gippsland’s small village of Fish Creek. The store is a collaboration between a couple of local families keen to bring to customers a thoughtful approach to eating quality food in a sustainable way. Pick up bulk items, coffee, chocolate, eggs, house blended herbal teas and produce.

The Greenhouse – Foster
In a large green shed on Toora Rd in Foster is a great little café with lovely hearty meals.
Dishes such as wild berry banana bread, organic beef, bacon and blue cheese burger, great coffee and 30 types of tea are on offer. The café also becomes a restaurant for special dinner occasions. Regular relaxed music acts play at The Greenhouse.

Biddy Marthas – Bunyip
With the best coffee found locally, lovingly prepared by owner and main barista Gavin, Biddy Marthas is a must if you are into coffee and good food. Gavin’s sister, chef Michelle is in the kitchen every day making up her regularly changing specials and the simple and lovely daily menu. Rustic appeal and great food combine here. At this time of the year you will generally find a hearty home made curry, or a super healthy roast pumpkin salad and decadent desserts. If you love what you had for lunch you can also take away for dinner.

Birch and Perch – Rosedale
Light meals and great coffee here at Birch and Perch lovingly brewed by owner Gabrielle. You have to get in early for lunch as the range goes quickly.
