Garden Art by Don Barrett

Ancient landscapes and the beautiful colours in it inspire sculpture artist Don Barrett. The award winning artist has been a feature of the Jindivick Sculpture Show and others across the region. Don’s work is mainly in concrete. He uses coloured oxides to portray the feeling of the Australian landscape and he mainly focuses on concepts of Australia’s short history and indigenous history. The contemporary abstract work appears in gardens across the region. “I work intuitively, allowing the work itself to dictate the final outcome.” Don works from his home in West Gippsland and is available for commissions.
For Gippslander’s you can see some of his work at Trafalgar’s Public Garden, Federation University, Churchill, Rotary Park Warragul, Montalto Winery, Red Hill, Tesselaar Tulips, Silvan, Mc Gregor Park, Trafalgar and Power Industry Visitors Centre.
