Entries open for Wellington Youth Art Prize 2015

Until June 5

Wellington Shire Youth Council is inviting entries for the
Wellington Youth Art Prize, an exciting competition for people
aged 12 to 25. The Wellington Youth Art Prize is sponsored by FReeZA and Wellington Shire Youth Council. It’s open to young artists who currently live, study or work in, or have lived or studied in Wellington Shire for the past four years. Works are to depict this year’s theme, ‘Living in Wellington’, through the eyes of a young person, enabling entrants the opportunity to present a variety of artistic responses. The Wellington Youth Art Prize 2015 has two age categories: 12-17 years and 18-25 years. Each category has a prize of $500. Entries must be either paintings or drawings in any medium. Entries close at 5pm on June 5. A free exhibition of selected paintings will be held at the Maffra Exhibition Space from July 2 to August 31. For full conditions of entry and to enter visit the website or contact youth councillor Aleisha Allen on 0429 486 912 or
