Jorg at Narkoojee
For wine and food lovers the Restaurant Jorg at Narkoojee winery is a special treat. The Mediterranean influenced menu features handmade pasta, antipasti and stone baked pizza. Try the spaghettoni with smoked ocean trout and a delicious selection of desserts.
Slightly off the beaten track but well worth the visit is Toms Cap Winery.
The winery is in a superb setting surrounded by bushland. It is about a 10 minute drive from Traralgon, south along the Hyland Highway.
Once you get there the menu offers a wide range of proteins including the current offering of Asian Pork Belly, Toms Cap raised beef fillet or chicken korma. It is a balanced menu with plenty on offer for a special occasion or a relaxed Sunday afternoon feast.
Once you’ve enjoyed your fill you can also arrange to stay overnight in one of their elegant country cottages.
